Oak Yurt
Rooted in nature beneath the oak tree
The Oak Yurt sits at the bottom of the field beneath a large oak tree, with open views across the surrounding countryside. The tree brings a natural sense of shelter and presence, making this yurt feel settled, calm and closely connected to the landscape.
In front of the yurt is a small, mown area of grass, ideal for lawn games, relaxing outside and spending time together in the open air.
Inside, the Oak Yurt has a natural, earthy feel, celebrating wood and trees through its materials and details. With a wood-burning stove and comfortable seating, it is a warm, relaxed place to return to after time outdoors.
The Oak Yurt can be booked on its own for couples, friends and families, or as part of a larger group booking at Heart of the Wye.
Beautiful walks are very close by, with easy access to the Wye Valley Walk and Offa’s Dyke Path. The River Wye is a short drive away for canoeing and kayaking, and Hay-on-Wye is nearby for shops, cafés and bookshops.
Guests also have access to the shared communal spaces at Heart of the Wye, including kitchen areas and the communal barn, offering sheltered places to eat, play games and spend time together.
