Night Sky Yurt
Dark skies, quiet evenings, open horizons

Set on a high, open edge of the field, the Night Sky Yurt is designed for stillness, stargazing and slow nights, with wide skies and a telescope for exploring what comes out after dark.

The Night Sky Yurt sits on the edge of the field with wide views across the valley and very little light pollution. It is part of Heart of the Wye, set in open countryside in the Wye Valley near Hay-on-Wye and on the edge of a dark sky reserve.

A telescope is provided so you can explore the night sky from your own space. Inside, the yurt is warm and comfortable, with a wood-burning stove, a leatherette sofa, natural wood finishes and subtle mid-century touches, along with small details inspired by classic astronomy.

The Night Sky Yurt can be booked on its own for couples, friends and families of up to four guests, or as part of a larger group booking at Heart of the Wye.

Beautiful walks are very close by, with easy access to the Wye Valley Walk and Offa’s Dyke Path. The River Wye is a short drive away for canoeing and kayaking, and Hay-on-Wye is nearby for shops, cafés and bookshops.

Guests also have access to the shared communal spaces at Heart of the Wye, including kitchen areas and the new communal barn, offering sheltered space to eat, play games and spend time together.
