River Yurt
Inspired by the valley shaped by the River Wye
The River Yurt sits at the top of the field at Heart of the Wye, surrounded by open countryside and wide skies. It takes its name from the River Wye that runs through the valley below and shapes this landscape.
It suits guests who are drawn to the wider valley and enjoy spending days out exploring before returning to a warm, luxurious place to rest.
Inside, the River Yurt feels rich and inviting, with a wood-burning stove, velvet furnishings, comfortable seating and décor inspired by water. Deep blues and soft greens echo the river and bring a sense of colour, warmth and character to the space.
The River Yurt is dog friendly and can be booked on its own for couples, friends and families, or as part of a larger group booking at Heart of the Wye.
Beautiful walks are very close by, with easy access to the Wye Valley Walk and Offa’s Dyke Path. The River Wye is a short drive away for canoeing and kayaking, and Hay-on-Wye is nearby for shops, cafés and bookshops.
Guests also have access to the shared communal spaces at Heart of the Wye, including kitchen areas and the communal barn, offering sheltered places to eat, play games and spend time together.
